Woman of the Year Award

The San Diego Magazine Woman of the Year Award recognizes a woman who fosters personal and professional growth through business, education, community involvement and/or diversity.


ASSOCIATED NOMINATION CRITERIA:

Woman of the Year nominees include dynamic women who work to create positive change and contribute to the San Diego community.

Please fill out the entire criteria form in order to be considered for the Woman of the Year nomination. Nominees that meet the criteria listed below, as decided by the review committee, will be listed in a future 2008 issue of San Diego Magazine. The Woman of the Year will be named at the Women Who Move the City® event. Date is TBD.

Demonstrates leadership through active participation in a San Diego-based business, non-profit and/or educational program. (50-75 words)



Directly impacts or is a strong role model inspiring people to pursue opportunities in business, non-profits and/or educational programs. (50-75 words)



Is consistently involved in charitable or community service in San Diego County. (30-50 words)



Shows accomplishment and evidence of “needle-moving,” obstacles overcome, innovations or discoveries made, etc. (50-75 words)



Provides evidence that she has positively influenced women in business, non-profits and/or educational programs in the San Diego region. (50-75 words)



Must be primarily responsible for the current performance of her business, non-profits and/or educational programs. (20-30 words)



Has an impact on the economic development within the region. (30-50 words)



Shows commitment to women in business, non-profits and/or educational programs and demonstrates active participation in supporting the future of women in the region. (50-75 words)



The business, non-profit and/or educational program that she is responsible for must have been in operation for a minimum of three years. (30-50 words)
