No room for a wine cellar? You can tuck a wine cooler in a corner of the kitchen, sure, but with a bit of ingenuity, a small room can double as a wine bar. For a couple with a tall, narrow ocean-view home, Rick Fahmie of Kitchen Expo turned the laundry room into a tasting room. He designed a stained-glass window to depict Villa Gioconda, a favorite spot in Italy. Playing off the colors of the window, he hid the washer and dryer behind beautiful red-aspen cabinets paired with Jurassic green granite counters. A matching bar table has a stainless-steel base.
