Spa Week

Spa Week, a national event in which participating spas offer discounted prices on select treatments, touches down in San Diego April 14-20. During The Spring Event, spa-goers can enjoy certain treatments at a reduced rate of $50. With nearly 500 spas throughout the United States and Canada participating, it’s the biggest Spa Week in the event’s 10-year history. According to organizers, the goal is to introduce a new generation of consumers to the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and to open up the spa industry to the masses.

“When the organizers of Spa Week first approached us to get involved, it made sense, because their purpose is to make spa services more inclusive,” says Dale Hall, owner of SpaViolet in Cardiff. “We have the same philosophy about skincare and spa treatments. Our prices are more than reasonable, and you get a lot of bang for your buck.” During Spa Week, SpaViolet is offering (each for $50) a microdermabrasion or dermaplaning session; a 45-minute massage; or The Shrinking Violet, a detoxifying, cellulite-targeting infrared body wrap that torches about 1,200 calories in an hour.

A portion of Spa Week proceeds benefits Cancer and Careers (cancerandcareers.org), a nonprofit organization for working women with cancer. For the most recent list of participating spas, visit spaweek.org or call 212-352-8098.
